Freedom of Information complaints procedure

The purpose of the complaints procedure is to respond to people who are dissatisfied with decisions made by the council under the Freedom of Information Act 2000 (the FOIA). It aims to provide a response that is speedy, timed and impartial.

Where appropriate, issues will be resolved at the lowest level to mutual satisfaction. This should prevent the need to refer any complaints to the Information Commissioner.

A copy of the procedure is available to download.
