Councilwide Communications Strategy 2007-2010

The councilwide communications strategy sets out the council’s priorities for communicating with the public. It looks at how the council can improve its communications and provide better value for money.

The strategy aims to increase trust in, and access to, public services, so that the area's residents, partners and other organisations will have a clearer understanding of our:

  • Ambitions
  • Values
  • Services
  • Achievements

For the strategy to deliver this, it will work with the council's Going Forward Together programme through proactive communications to:

  • Protect and enhance the reputation of the council
  • Drive up satisfaction levels
  • Retain and recruit good employees
  • Win additional resources for the area.
