Mayor

Cllr Sue Armitage became the 14th Mayor of North Lincolnshire on 13 May 2009 at the council's annual meeting.

Cllr Armitage is the youngest female Mayor of North Lincolnshire. She serves on the Brumby ward.

Each year the Mayor chooses charities that they will raise funds for throughout their year in office. This is known as the Mayor's Appeal Fund.

Cllr Armitage's Charity Appeal Fund supports:

  • The Lindsey Lodge Hospice - Lindsey Lodge cares for people in the North Lincolnshire area whose lives are affected by life-limiting conditions such as cancer, multiple sclerosis, motor neurone disease, heart or renal failure. It provides loving specialist care known as palliative care. It costs over £3.50 every minute to keep Lindsey Lodge providing care for people in their time of need. Lindsey Lodge is an independent registered charity number 70287.
  • Cancer Research UK - Cancer Research UK is the world's leading independent organisation dedicated to cancer research. They support research into all aspects of cancer through the work of more than 4,500 scientists, doctors and nurses.

Cllr Allan Smith is the new Deputy Mayor.
