Local Government (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 1982
The council must licence premises that trade in a significant amount of marital aids, or sex cinemas. Such premises must be discreet, with suitable screening to prevent the interior being viewed from outside. No one under 18 years old may enter the premises. The operator must satisfy the council that they are a fit and proper person.
