XML test - instructions
This page is a link to a North Lincolnshire Council's email ordering XML Style sheet.

Please confirm you have been successful to the Procurement Team on 01724 296027 or email: procurement@northlincs.gov.uk.
To be able to view the order please ensure the following:
- The PC used to open the order is connected to the internet, and that connection is open
- The PC is using Internet Explorer Version 5.5 or above
- The email system used by you or your company will need to be able to open attached files using Internet Explorer. If it uses a different application you will need to save the attached file to your PC and then open it within Internet Explorer by using the 'file' and 'open' key on the top toolbar.
What is XML?
XML is the most popular language for sending messages between e-business sites – typically orders, invoices, acknowledgements, and so on.
In fact although XML means 'extensible mark-up language' it's not strictly a language, in the sense in which English, French or Latin are languages. It is actually a set of agreed rules for formatting character data so that a computer can recognise it as data (such as an invoice, an order, an acknowledgement ) rather than just raw text that only a human can interpret..
While XML has been adopted as an industry standard by all major players, that does not mean that all systems can automatically talk to each other.
