Voluntary Action North Lincolnshire (VANL) and Voluntary Action North East Lincolnshire (VANEL) helps and advises people working in the voluntary and community sector in North and North East Lincolnshire.
They do this through development work, service provision and support, finance and policy provision - either through VANL/VANEL staff, or by referral on to another specialist agency.
VANL/VANEL represents the views of the voluntary and community sector in North and North East Lincolnshire to the statutory authorities, and disseminates information back from them to the sector. VANL/VANEL also has a Volunteer Bureau which can place volunteers (of any age) with suitable agencies to utilise and develop their skills.

Third sector events
In conjunction with Voluntary Action North and North East Lincolnshire, the Procurement Alliance North and North East Lincolnshire hold yearly events to support the third sector.

In November 2009, Pannel were highly commended in the category of Local Compact of the Year.
The Compact is the agreement between government and the voluntary and community sector in England to improve their relationship for mutal advantage and community gain.

The Code of Good Practice maintains Compact principles of communication, joint working, action and trust. It aims to influence financial relationships between the Public sector; partnerships commissioning at a local level such as Local Strategic Partnerships (LSPs) and voluntary, community and third sector organisations (TSOs).
