Methods of paying your council tax

Council tax bills are payable by monthly instalments. This is on the condition that you pay each instalment by the due date shown on the council tax bill. Failure to pay by the due date will result in recovery action being taken. The right to pay by instalments may be withdrawn and the full balance may become payable immediately.

You can pay council tax bills in full by the first instalment date shown. You can pay half-yearly making the first payment on the first instalment date and the second instalment on, or before, 22 September each year.

Direct Debit - the easy way to pay your bill

Direct Debit is the preferred method of payment. It is cheaper and easier for the council to manage and therefore helps keep council tax bills down.  Most people pay by Direct Debit in North Lincolnshire which saves you time and effort.

If you wish to start paying by Direct Debit telephone the council tax section on 01724 296093. Please have your bank details to hand. Alternatively you can print out the Direct Debit instructions and complete.
