The Public Engagement Framework sets out how the council will consult with the public. This involves finding out the public’s opinions, views and observations on a range of council issues.
The framework has three broad aims. These are:
- To stimulate public interest in the council’s democratic processes;
- To encourage local people to influence decisions on the future quality of life in the area; and
- To ensure that services are designed, planned and delivered to exceed the expectations of those for whom they are intended.
