Public Engagement Framework

The Public Engagement Framework sets out how the council will consult with the public. This involves finding out the public’s opinions, views and observations on a range of council issues.

The framework has three broad aims. These are:

  1. To stimulate public interest in the council’s democratic processes;
  2. To encourage local people to influence decisions on the future quality of life in the area; and
  3. To ensure that services are designed, planned and delivered to exceed the expectations of those for whom they are intended.

The framework is available to download:

Note: The framework is in Portable Document Format (PDF) and therefore requires a suitable reader to view it. A reader can be downloaded free from the Adobe website (full instructions for downloading the reader are provided on the site).
