Petitions

Did you know you can petition the council? If there is an issue you feel strongly about you can ask the council to look into it by submitting a petition. For example, speeding problems in your area, problems with graffitti or concerns over the condition of a footpath.

Many people have already used our petitioning system to bring their concerns to the council's attention. This has resulted in meetings with councillors for petitioners to have their say. In many cases this leads to action being taken.

Traditionally petitions have involved someone collecting signatures on a paper petition. But now you can also create petitions online through this website.

It is easy to create or sign a petition online. Simply go to our e-petitioning page and follow the instructions.

You can run a paper version and an online version of the same petition at the same time.

For further information about petitioning the council call 01724 296433/296235 or email petitions@northlincs.gov.uk.
