The committee met at the Plowright Theatre, Laneham Street, Scunthorpe.
1 CHAIR AND VICE-CHAIR - The Director of Corporate Affairs reported that the council had appointed Councillors Gosling and P Kirk as chair and vice-chair of the committee.
2 DATE AND TIME OF MEETINGS - Resolved - That it be noted that meetings of the committee be held at 6.30 p.m. on the following dates:-
8 June, 2000
13 September, 2000
2 November, 2000
11 January, 2001
15 March, 2001
3 (1) LOCAL GOVERNMENT AND HOUSING ACT 1989 - POLITICAL BALANCE - The Director of Corporate Affairs submitted a report which reviewed the political balance of this committee's sub-committees in compliance with the above act.
An appendix to the report set out what was understood to be an acceptable allocation of seats.
Resolved - That this committee carries out its duties under the Local Government and Housing Act 1989 to review and determine the allocation of seats on its sub-committees by adopting the following allocations:
