Census

The 2001 census figures for North Lincolnshire show an increase in population since the 1991 census.

The 2001 census showed that North Lincolnshire had a population of 152,849. This was an increase of 562 (0.4 per cent) from the 1991 census.

Latest figures (in 2005) show that North Lincolnshire now has a population of 157,050. This is an increase of 4,650 on the 1996 population figure. This was the year the new council came into being.

This trend is set to continue. Official estimates are predicting that over the next 10 years, the population will be over 162,000.
