Youth Service

Find out how you can help young people in North Lincolnshire enjoy and achieve.

The council's Youth Service works through partnerships with community organisations, young people and other agencies, in rural and urban communities.

It provides services for young people between the ages of eight and 25-years-old, with an emphasis on those between 13 to 19 years.

All our staff are trained, and have opportunities to continue their professional development and update their knowledge and skills.

What we can offer you:

We can provide great opportunities to help develop your potential. This can be physically, intellectually, morally and spiritually.

We encourage you to:

  • Participate in decision making
  • Accept responsibility and learn how to affect changes in society
  • Participate in arts and develop creativity
  • Gain knowledge, awareness and skills to make changes to your own life and the lives of others.

The service provides meeting places that are warm and safe, with the resources for activities and learning.

As an alternative to youth centres, youth workers also work with young people in a variety of other settings.

Specialist support projects include:

  • Information
  • Counselling
  • Housing
  • Sexual health
  • Family mediation
  • Drugs issues
  • Childcare and parenting skills
  • Supported learning
  • Parent support
  • Homework clubs
