Children's Trust - useful links

All the councils neighbouring North Lincolnshire have their own service directory. There are some services that work in more than one region. There is a link below to each councils service directory.

Below is a list of useful links to other organisations and agencies for children, young people and families:

Allergy UK provides up to date information, advice and support to help you with you with your allergy.

Asthma UK is a national website offering advice for people with asthma.

Bereavement and Death provides a factsheet containing a list of resources for people who have been affected by the death of somebody.

BBC - Radio 1 - One Life
Information for children and young people regarding life issues, from the BBC.

BBC - Schools
Information for children and young people attending schools, including advice on dealing with stress and revision. There are also tips for parents and teachers.

Britkid is a website is about race, racism and life - as seen through the eyes of the Britkids.

Help and legal advice is available for victims of bullying, their parents and their school.

Childline is the free 24-hour helpline for children and young people in the UK. Children and young people can use the link above or call 0800 1111 about any problem, at any time - day or night.

Children First is an interactive guide to life and health for children and young people.

Connexions offers information and advice designed for children and young people aged 13-19.

Dyslexia Research Trust is for anyone who would like to learn more about dyslexia.

DfES, Young Persons Gateway provides information, resources and advice for young people and people working with young people from the Department for Education and Schools.

The Domestic Violence website provides information for victims and information and resources for people working to reduce crime in their local area.

You can also find information and help on all aspects of Eating Disorders including anorexia nervosa, bulimia nervosa, binge eating disorder and related eating disorders.

NCH - The Children's Charity supports
some of the most vulnerable and excluded children in the UK. The site offers information and advice to parents, carers and professionals.

Project HappyChild has a directory of services helping all children across the world. It has information on all issues effecting young people today, including education, hobbies and bullying.

The Samaritans offer a 24 hour confidential service, providing emotional support

Students - North Lincolnshire provides
information for all students within North Lincolnshire.

Sure Start is the government's programme to deliver the best start in life for every child by bringing together early education, childcare, health and family support.

Talk to Frank is a confidential service giving free advice about drugs. It includes personal advice on how to talk to children about drugs, confidential counselling or information on anything to do with taking drugs. Alternatively call 0800 7766 00 24-hours a day, every day. Anyone can call, whatever their age or interest in drugs.

The Children's Society works with and for children to help them deal with life's harshest challenges and face the future with confidence.

There 4 me is a site for all 12-16 year olds living in England. If you've got worries or need some advice, there4me.com can help. There is on screen advice about a range of issues including bullying, relationships, exams, drugs and difficulties at home.
