We can help children who have problems understanding spoken language, and those who are not talking as much as anticipated for their age. We also help children who have difficulty producing and using certain sounds, and are not always understood.
Through our work within Children’s Centres we are able to provide training opportunities for families and all who work with children. This helps prevents some communication problems. We aim to minimise the impact of non-preventable difficulties through early identification and intervention within the child’s home and settings they attend.
Specialist services provide support and intervention for the following difficulties: stammering, feeding and drinking, voice, cleft lip and palate, hearing impairment, and autistic spectrum disorders.
We deliver training and offer support to all families and professionals/practitioners working with children who are known to us. |

Children of any age and their parents or carers.
Other professionals from health, social services, education, voluntary agencies who are associated with children who have communication and/or feeding difficulties. |

This service is available to all. All impairments/disabilities are taken into account when intervention is offered. |
