Service Offered:

Kaleidoscope is a purpose built resource centre for parents and parent carers of children and young people with a special need/disability. It offers support to parents, carers and young carers. The centre provides free advice, information and support on a range of disability related issues to parents/carers and other childcare professionals. This includes advice on welfare benefits. The centre has a resource library. The library has:

- books
- tapes
- videos
- internet access

There is a toy library with a range of specialist toys. Parents and carers can borrow items from the toy library for a small charge.

Various parent support groups are run from the centre and they can advise on activities that are suitable for children with a disability.

Who is service for:
Families who have a child (birth to 18 years) with a special need/disability.
Geographical area:
Kaleidoscope is a local project of a national organisation (NCH). Catchment area is North Lincolnshire.
How to refer:
Families can refer themselves. Statutory/ voluntary organsiations can refer families via telephone, letter, email or personal visit to the centre.

Opening Times:

9am to 5pm Monday to Thursday

9am to 4.30pm Fridays. Closed weekends and Bank Holidays.  Building open to visitors daily from 9am to 1pm, other times appointments and pre-arranged groups only.
