The Practical Family Support Service provides low level preventative services. It is for parents who want to access support for a wide range of concerns and for those who are not receiving high level intervention support from Social Services. The aim is to address needs before they escalate. This is done by offering practical support and assistance to families who have at least one child aged between 5 to 13 years.
The service provides packages of support by drawing up individual action plans with the family referred. The service is confidential. It ensures that dignity is maintained and confidence is upheld at all times. The service offers support within a family's own home or other agreed meeting place. The service is non-judgemental in attitude and recognises the need to be sensitive to the family's issues. |

Families and carers who have at least one child between the ages of 5-13 years who live in North Lincolnshire.
Families who require low level preventative support. |

How to refer: |
Referrals to the service can be either through a referral agent making a referral with the family's consent or for a family to self refer. |

Opening Times: |
Home-visits are made to be more flexible to meet needs. Office contact hours are 8.30am to 5.30pm Monday - Friday and answerphone available outside office hours. |
