There are a number of hazards associated with handling syringes and needles. If you discover these in a public place, please contact the council. We will remove and dispose of them safely.
Do not to pick up discarded needles, unless there is an immediate danger to you or others.
Any needles, or syringes, etc. found on educational premises (e.g. schools, nurseries, etc.) during working hours should be reported immediately to staff. There will be someone on site trained to deal with such items.
