Community centres

Community centres and village halls are an integral part of your local community. At your local community centre you will find a mixture of the following activities from bingo, playgroups, over 60s clubs, junior discos and games, indoor bowls, yoga, coffee evenings, karate and keep fit to Brownies and dancing.

Your local community centre is also available for private functions and bookings. The majority of centres comprise of a hall usually with a stage and meeting rooms. Contact you local community centre for further details on facilities and room charges.

The council's Community Recreation team recognises the importance of community centres and employ an officer who is available to provide advice and guidance to community organisations and management committees of community buildings.
