Local Strategic Partnership

When organisations work together by pooling their experience and knowledge, more gets done. The partners understand local people, places and issues better and make sure they take the right actions and deliver services that meet local people’s needs.

This linking up already happens in North Lincolnshire and is known as the Local Strategic Partnership (LSP) .

The LSP is a non-statutory partnership between the council and other organisations. They all work together to improve the quality of life in North Lincolnshire.

The partnership comprises key service providers from public, private and voluntary sectors. These include: Humberside Police, the NHS, Humberside Fire and Rescue, VANL (Voluntary Action North Lincolnshire). Top employers such as Corus and Kimberly-Clark are also involved.

The dedicated members are all committed to making a difference and achieving a positive outcome for the area’s residents.

The membership and priorities vary from area to area. LSPs have become more and more important as they drive Local Area Agreements (LAAs) and set out the local Sustainable Community Strategy for a brighter future.

LSPs are now the focus of the area assessment element of the new inspection regime, the Comprehensive Area Assessment (CAA).

If you want to know more about the work of the LSP and how it benefits North Lincolnshire, please contact Matt Cridge on 01724 296296 or email: matthew.cridge@northlincs.gov.uk
