Early years

Early years provision

The council is committed to promoting high standards of childcare that meet the needs of parents and children in North Lincolnshire.

Under the government's Flexible entitlement, all children aged three and above are entitled to 15 hours per week early education from the term following their third birthday for 38 weeks per year.

Parents may choose to send their child to an early education place in a nursery class or to an early education provider who is Ofsted registered.

For further information on early years settings please call the Family Information Service on 01724 296629.

The parents and carers guide to flexible free entitlement for three and four-year-olds is available to download below:

Childcare sufficiency assessment

In response to the Government's National Childcare Strategy, the council is implementing plans for the development of early years and childcare services. In order to make sure we have enough high quality childcare available to meet parents' needs, we have conducted a Childcare Sufficiency Assessment.
