Complaints and other enquiries

Do you have something to say about the council's Children and Young People's Service?  Whether it's a concern, compliment or a complaint we want to hear from you.

When you contact us we will listen carefully to what you have to say and take action wherever necessary.

If you have a complaint it will be dealt with according to our procedures. In the first instance the manager of the service about which you are complaining will look into the issues, unless this is inappropriate.

We make every effort to respond to complaints promptly and we aim to respond within 10 working days of us receiving your complaint. If this is not possible we will keep you informed.

If you are not satisfied following these initial enquiries you will be advised how you can take the complaint further.

You may complain if you receive a service from us and are dissatisfied with it or if you think you should receive a service from us but have been turned down.

You may complain on behalf of someone else if it is in his or her interests for you to do so.

You can contact the complaints and representations manager in a number of ways:

You can also go to any of our offices, Local Links or talk to your worker.

Children and young people can always speak to Bev Goulding, the Children’s Advocacy Officer. She will listen and help with your complaint on your behalf. You can contact her on 01724 296639 or 07717 586247, or email Beverley.Goulding@northlincs.gov.uk.
