Child Concern, Child Protection and Single Point of Access for Child and Family Support

What to do if you are worried about a child?

If you are seriously concerned about the welfare of a child or young person, please ring 01724 296500 or freephone 0800 0853737. This will put you in touch with our duty social worker - you can speak to the social worker in confidence.

You can also call the police at any time on 0845 60 60 222.

"Each week one child in England or Wales is killed by their parent or carer. If someone had seen and reported the abuse it could have been prevented." (NSPCC)

As from September 2011 North Lincolnshire Council has put in place improved arrangements to provide targeted support to vulnerable children, young people and families. We have established a new Children and Family Support Service (CFSS) that brings together the capacity and experience of children’s centres, Practical Family Support, Intensive Prevention Teams and targeted youth support.

The CFSS will work alongside our established specialist Social Work Service, providing coordinated support to vulnerable children and families.

Anybody wishing to access a service can now use the single number to seek support, including children in need and safeguarding concerns.

All these services can be accessed through our Single Duty Service, located at Church Square House, contact 01724 296500.
