Small and medium enterprises

North Lincolnshire Council recognises the important contribution that small and medium enterprises (SME) can make to the delivery of public services and the vital role these play in the national and local economy.

North Lincolnshire Council Procurement Concordat for SME's

We have adopted a nationally recognised SME friendly procurement concordat, to encourage a mixed range of suppliers to help develop and stimulate a varied and competitive market place.

The concordat is particularly focused on small businesses of less than 50 employees.

UK Public Sector Contracts

www.supply2.gov.uk (opens in new window) is owned by the Department for Business, Enterprise and Regulatory Reform to allow UK public sector organisations to publicise their lower-value contracts free of charge. For the first time, businesses are able to view contracts in a single location, reducing the time taken to source opportunities.

The website has published more than 79,000 contract notices with many under the value of £100,000 – making them particularly relevant to SMEs. Over 5,000 public sector buyers have registered including local government, health, education and housing authorities, emergency services and the Olympic Delivery Authority

All new supply2.gov.uk registrants can now benefit from access to lower-value opportunities (typically below £100,000) throughout the whole of the UK - free for three months until the end of July 2008.
