'Innovation vouchers' scheme funds for SME's development with academic support
'Innovation vouchers' is a Yorkshire Forward-funded scheme to encourage small to medium sized businesses to use academic support to help with the development of new and improved products and services.
The scheme can be accessed through Business Link Yorkshire and aims to help the region's firms to remain competitive by continuing to invest in research and development.
Companies will be able to apply for vouchers worth up to £3,000 by informing Business Link of a problem or an idea to improve a product or service.
Successful businesses will have their applications sent through a central system to universities, further education colleges and research institutes in Yorkshire and Humber who have registered for the scheme. Businesses will then choose which of these academic experts they work with to test and develop their ideas.
