The LEADER programme of funding is part of the Rural Development Programme for England and aims to improve the rural areas of Northern Lincolnshire through:
- Village renewal
- Increasing access to basic services in rural communities
- Improving heritage, culture and tourism.
The Rural Local Action Group (LAG) is responsible for managing this money. Groups have the opportunity to apply to the LAG for a share of the funding, which is available until December 2013.
Projects that will be supported through the LEADER programme must tackle at least one of the priorities given above in rural areas of Northern Lincolnshire.
