North Lincolnshire Council in partnership with the Rural Shops Alliance would
like to invite you to a free workshop.
The
Rural Shops Alliance (RSA) is a national trade association working to support
the owners of independent rural shops. The alliance represent approx. 8,000
such businesses throughout England.
The
RSA provide practical help to shopkeepers to improve their business in a variety
of ways. As well as up-to-date guidance on what is happening in the industry
they also provide advice on issues such as displays, ranging and legislation.
The
workshop is aimed at rural shops owners. Taking place on Thursday
25 March 2010 at Arties Mill, Brigg from 6.30 - 8.30pm, the workshop
will cover:
- Merchandising
and display - the key to sales
- Creating
the mindset to thrive and survive
- Opportunities
and challenges - retailing in 2010
- Networking
opportunities.
The
workshop is free of charge however there will be a £10 charge to visitors
based outside of North Lincolnshire. Refreshments and a buffet will be provided.
