Dealing with the recession

North Lincolnshire has not been immune from the effects of the global recession. Local businesses are finding it more difficult to remain competitive and some local people have unfortunately lost their jobs.

The Economic Development team is available to offer support to businesses during the recession. They can signpost businesses to the various agencies that can offer free, confidential help. This includes giving your business a free 'health-check', looking at what funding might be available to support training and, where necessary, offering support to businesses that are closing and individuals being made redundant.

The Economic Development team work in partnership with a range of local partners including Business Link, Job Centre Plus and Yorkshire Forward.

For information on support available for residents during the recession visit our Recession and redundancy section.
