Food hygiene

Description

The council's Food and Safety team is responsible for ensuring that food made and sold in North Lincolnshire is safe, clean and fit to eat.

All businesses that prepare, produce, cook or sell food must comply with strict food hygiene standards and they must be registered with the authority.

We inspect all food premises in North Lincolnshire to check that they are complying with the law and to offer advice and information.

The Food and Safety team is also responsible for the investigation and prevention of the spread of communicable diseases within the community (particularly food borne).

The council does not offer food hygiene training courses. However, it can provide details of food hygiene courses that are run locally.
