Alcohol use and abuse

Description

The council works hard to ensure alcohol is sold, consumed and disposed of responsibly.

The council’s trading standards unit investigates underage sales of alcohol and illegal or counterfeit alcohol.

The council’s licensing team is responsible for alcohol and entertainment licenses.

The North Lincolnshire Road Safety Partnership, of which the council is a member, regularly runs drink drive awareness campaigns.

The council has also established alcohol free zones in several North Lincolnshire areas. These zones prevent drinking in certain public places and work to reduce alcohol related anti-social behaviour.
